Prediction Subscriptions, Billing and Cancelling

Play Big Small

The paid tier is where this market makes most of its money, and it is the part players understand least when they sign up. This page covers what a subscription actually buys, why the billing continues regardless of results, and the practical steps for stopping one.

In one line

The charge recurs on a calendar, not on performance. Nothing in the billing flow is connected to accuracy.

What it buys

The Contents of a Paid Tier

Four things, consistently. Only one of them is what the sales page emphasises.

What is advertised

More accurate calls

Produced the same way as the free tier's, from the same public history, with the same access to the round. In our logs the two tiers were indistinguishable.

What you receive

Faster delivery and a cleaner interface

Genuinely better software in many cases. Quicker notifications, fewer adverts, a tidier history — all real improvements to a display.

What you receive

A person who answers

Support chat, personalised messages, sometimes a mentor. This is the most valuable component to most subscribers and the least discussed.

What you receive

A recurring charge

Monthly, automatic, and typically easier to start than to stop. Renewal dates are rarely displayed after the first payment.

How billing works

Four Mechanisms Worth Knowing About

None of these are unusual in software; they are unusual here only in what they are attached to.

MECHANISM 01

Trial converting to full price

A low first month followed by a much higher recurring figure. The conversion is disclosed, usually once, at the point where the reader is focused on the first number.

MECHANISM 02

Payment outside a store

Direct UPI, wallet transfer or a payment page rather than an app store subscription. This removes the store's cancellation and refund machinery entirely.

MECHANISM 03

Cancellation by request

No button. A message to support, which may be answered slowly enough that another cycle bills before it resolves.

MECHANISM 04

Retention offers on cancellation

A discount, an extra month or a personal mentor offered at the moment of leaving. Effective, and worth recognising as a retention flow rather than a reconsideration.

If a product will not take payment through a mechanism you can stop by yourself, that choice tells you something before the first charge lands.

The billing route matters
Cancelling

The Order That Works

Do these in sequence rather than starting with the support chat.

Cancellation steps
  1. Cancel at the source first — app store subscriptions, then any autopay mandate in your UPI app or bank.
  2. Screenshot the cancellation confirmation with the date visible.
  3. Then message support, so that the request is on record even if the billing is already stopped.
  4. Remove the app's payment permissions and any saved card from its account page.
  5. Note the next renewal date and check your statement on that day.
  6. If a charge appears afterwards, you now have a timestamped cancellation to attach to a dispute.
Disputing

If a Charge Lands After You Cancelled

Five practical points, in the order they become relevant.

Act within the first few days

Card networks and payment providers have time limits, and the process is markedly easier inside the first billing cycle than three cycles later. The most common story we hear involves the fourth charge, not the first.

Describe the charge, not the product

A dispute succeeds on billing facts — cancelled on a date, charged afterwards, no service delivered. Arguments about whether predictions work are outside what a payments team can assess.

Keep the artefacts

The cancellation screenshot, the support message with its timestamp, and the statement line. Three items, and the case is usually straightforward with them.

Expect the retention offer

Support may respond with credit, an upgrade or an extension rather than a refund. Accepting an extension normally restarts the billing relationship, which is the point of the offer.

Direct transfers are hard to reverse

UPI and wallet payments to an individual account have very little recourse. This is the strongest argument for never paying these products outside a store or card in the first place.

Why the Subscription Model Fits This Market So Well

Because the product cannot fail in a way the billing notices. A tool that promised a specific outcome could be held to it; a tool that provides calls provides them on schedule, regardless of results, and the service was technically delivered every day of the month. The recurring charge is therefore never in dispute on the merits, only ever on the paperwork.

The other reason is timing. These subscriptions are most often purchased during a losing run, when the monthly fee is smaller than the amount just lost and the comparison makes it feel negligible. That framing is not accidental, and it is why the sales pages are written the way they are.

Before You Subscribe to Anything Here

Log a hundred of the free calls first. Every paid product in this market has a free tier or an open channel, and the calls in it are produced by the same method as the paid ones. If the free calls are indistinguishable from a coin — and in every test we have run they have been — there is nothing on the other side of the paywall to buy.

The comparison of what each tier actually provides is on the free and paid page, and the overview of the whole market is on the home page.

Billing FAQ

Through an app store, often yes within the refund window. For direct UPI or wallet payments to an individual account, recovery is difficult and frequently impossible.

Store billing brings review, refund policies and a cancel button the seller does not control. Direct payment removes all three and makes the subscription harder to stop.

Usually that a refund is available if you followed every call exactly, which is unverifiable in practice. Read the conditions before treating the guarantee as protection.

Not in any test we have run. Both tiers work from the same public history with the same access, and neither publishes a log that would show otherwise.

Cancel the autopay mandate in your UPI app or bank rather than in the product. That stops collection at the source and does not depend on the seller responding.
